WOODVILLE, Wis. — The BIG HOUSE garlic jalapeño seasoning is the newest release from Smokin’ Bros. Rubs & Seasonings, a corrections officer-owned company.

The label on the new seasoning bottle is a drawing of the East Gate Folsom State Prison in California. In a Facebook post , the Smokin’ Bros. explain this seasoning and label are a tribute to Glenn Mueller, a founder of the Correctional Peace Officers Foundation. Mueller was the Folsom prison warden from 1996-2000 and helped organize the first emergency response team. Mueller died on October 14, 2022.

“This Foundation means so much to us and Glenn did as well,” the Smokin’ Bros. wrote. “He was a guard at heart as I could tell through the numerous stories he could tell like it happened yesterday.”

Smokin’ Bros. Rubs & Seasonings are available at retailers in the Midwest and by mail order. A portion of every bottle sold is donated to the Correctional Peace Officers Foundation . Other flavors include the JAIL BIRD, the WARDEN, and the LOCKDOWN.
